📋 Step-by-Step Guide (6 Steps)
Clean and Map the Dent
Spray 91% isopropyl alcohol over the dent and wipe it completely clean with a fresh microfiber towel. Position your line board or light at a 45-degree angle to observe the distorted reflection lines across the dent. Identify the exact center (deepest low point) and the outer stress crowns (high edges).
- • Panel surface is matte-dry and free of wax, dust, or fingerprints.
- • Line board reflection shows clearly warped, pinched lines marking the dent perimeter.
- • Skipping panel degreasing, which prevents hot glue from bonding firmly to the paint.
- • Looking straight at the dent instead of using angled light to see the true low point.
Apply Glue and Seat the Pulling Tab
Select a pulling tab slightly smaller than the dent base. Squeeze a thick dime-to-nickel sized bead of hot glue onto the textured face of the tab. Immediately press the tab firmly into the exact center of the dent and hold light pressure for 10 seconds, letting excess glue create a slight bevel around the edge.

- • Glue transitions from clear/glossy to cloudy and firm as it cools.

Mount Puller and Gradually Lift the Metal
Slide the bridge puller feet over the panel with the center screw engaged onto the tab stem. Turn the wing nut or tension knob clockwise slowly, watching the reflection lines expand. Continue turning evenly until you hear a sharp pop or the metal lifts level with the surrounding body line.

Release Glue and Remove Tab
Generously spray 91% isopropyl alcohol around the edge of the remaining glue pad. Wait 15 seconds for the alcohol to break the adhesive bond, then gently peel the glue pad off the panel using your thumb or a plastic scraper. Wipe the area dry.

Tap the end of the tool gently with a rubber mallet in light, rhythmic pulses until the reflection lines straighten out.

- • Panel feels flat and uniform when lightly swept with a microfiber cloth across your palm.

Final Clean and Polish
Apply a nickel-sized drop of automotive polish to a clean microfiber towel. Buff the entire repaired zone in circular motions to remove any light scuffs or adhesive haze. Wipe clean with the dry side of the towel and perform a final 360-degree light check.
